UNDERGROUND PRINTING HOUSE „AB“

In 1979, the printer Vytautas Andziulis equipped a secret printing house underground beneath his homestead, where he printed patriotic and religious publications during the Soviet era. Having agreed to work together, Vytautas Andziulis and Juozas Bacevičius named the illegal printing house „ab“ (the first letters of their surnames). The printing house operated for ten years without being detected (1980-1990). In 2008, as a division of Vytautas the Great War Museum, the Underground Printing House „ab“ was inscribed in the international list of historically valuable Cold War equipment and sites.
