The exhibition introduces visitors to the evolution of Lithuanian prehistoric warfare, e.e. from ancient times, when the first inhabitants appeared in Lithuania, until the creation of the statehood (from the eleventh millennium BC up to the first half of the thirteenth century). On display are hunting tools and weapons used in the Stone Age and true weapons that appeared at the beginning of the Bronze Age: stone battle axes, maces, various forms of flint arrowheads, and spearheads. Iron-Age warfare is illustrated by an exhibition of spears, fighting knives, swords, face shields, helmets, and clothing accessories for both the rider and the horse.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
