Trumpai neveiks Vytauto Didžiojo karo muziejus / The Vytautas the Great War Museum will be temporarily closed.

🟢2026 m. kovo 18–27 dienomis Vytauto Didžiojo karo centriniai muziejaus rūmai (K. Donelaičio g. 64, Kaunas) neveiks. Muziejuje vyks NATO pratybų planavimo konferencija NEPAC26, kurioje dalyvaus 32 NATO šalių atstovai. Susitikimo metu bus planuojamos pratybos, susijusios su Aljanso gynybos planų testavimu. Siekiant užtikrinti operacinį saugumą, muziejaus patalpos bus uždarytos lankytojams .

Kitų muziejaus padalinių darbo laikas nesikeičia – kviečiame lankyti Karo technikos ekspoziciją, pogrindžio spaustuvę „ab“ ir Dalios Grinkevičiūtės ekspoziciją Laukuvoje.

Dešimt dienų prabėgs greitai – jau kovo 28-ąją muziejus vėl bus atviras lankytojams. O čia pat ir kovo 29-oji – paskutinis nemokamas mėnesio sekmadienis bei Lietuvos įstojimo į NATO diena.

Atsiprašome už laikinus nepatogumus ir iki greito pasimatymo muziejuje! 

🟢From March 18 to 27, 2026, the main building of the Vytautas the Great War Museum (K. Donelaičio St. 64, Kaunas) will be closed to visitors.

During this time, the museum will host the NATO exercise planning conference NEPAC26, attended by representatives from 32 NATO member states. The meeting will focus on planning exercises related to testing the Alliance’s defence plans. To ensure operational security, the museum premises will be closed to the public.

The opening hours of the museum’s other branches will remain unchanged. Visitors are welcome to explore the Military Equipment Exhibition, the underground printing house “ab”, and the Dalia Grinkevičiūtė exhibition in Laukuva.

Ten days will pass quickly – the museum will reopen to visitors on March 28. Soon after, on March 29, visitors will also be able to take advantage of the last free Sunday of the month, which coincides with the anniversary of Lithuania’s accession to NATO.
